"I've seen Jacinta for massages throughout my pregnancy and it's been one of the best ways to look after myself. Her massages have helped with keeping my pregnancy-related sciatica and sacroiliitis under control, and it's been generally very relaxing and restorative when I've been exhausted. Jacinta is very friendly, yet professional, and genuinely cares about your wellbeing." Eva Menelaws
"I went here as a Birthday Treat for a Pregnancy Massage and it was just lovely. Very relaxing. Jacinta’s place is lovely and calm and she is super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Super recommend to anyone needing a little TLC". Amanda Kozera
"Over the last few years I have had many massages with Jacinta including remedial and pregnancy. She always listens to my needs with a genuine interest and goes over and above. I highly recommend her". Amy Foale
"I saw Jacinta for a massage after having my baby. The experience was so relaxing I drifted off during the massage. The setting, care and restorative touch Jacinta provided had me floating on the way out. I would highly recommend her services and will certainly be back" Sirah Robb
Pregnancy massage promotes relaxation, soothes nerves and relieves strained back and leg muscles.
This type of massage is very soothing and relaxing in style. It relieves stress on joints, eases neck and back pain, improves digestion and enhances sleep.
Pregnancy massage aids the circulatory and lymphatic systems, which brings nutrients to tissues, eliminates waste products, reduces swelling and normalises blood pressure.
I have had Specialised Pregnancy Massage training with the Australian School of Remedial Therapies in Sydney. Therefore you are able to claim a rebate for Remedial Massage during Pregnancy from your health fund. I am able to use some modified remedial massage techniques in your upper back, shoulders and gluteus muscles (for sciatica) for relief of tension and soreness. Overall pregnancy massage avoids firmer massage techniques and certain acupuncture points throughout the body.
The Clinic setting is modern and spacious and overlooks a pool and bushland. Before we start I usually ask you if you need to use the bathroom, as I know that pregnant ladies often feel bladder discomfort before and after their massage. I have a bathroom here for client use only which is always clean. You will be given a body wrap gown to get changed into. The massage is performed on a massage table, covered with soft white towels. You'll be lying on each side for 30 minutes with the support of two european pillows. One pillow will be supporting your head and shoulders and the other supporting your upper leg. Pregnancy massage techniques can also be applied whilst you are seated in a massage chair if you don't feel comfortable lying down.
The nurturing touch during pregnancy massage promotes relaxation and provides emotional support. Massage is one of the safest and most effective ways to reduce tension, stress and anxiety.
After your massage, you'll feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Once you are dressed and sitting down, I'll bring you a glass of filtered water and ensure you are feeling well before you leave.
Massage training professionals, along with current research, recommend the use of "side lying" techniques on a standard massage table with pillows for pregnant ladies. The issue with a 'belly hole cutout table' is that it does not support the abdomen so can strain uterine ligaments.

Remedial Massage (for Post Natal): This is What Your Body Really Needs a Few Months after Having a Baby.... apart from Sleep and a Vitamin B Complex!...You need a Remedial Massage! A few months of lifting, holding and breastfeeding for hours on end will take its toll on your body. Your neck, shoulders and back muscles will be tense, tight and painful as they are inflamed and fatigued from no rest. They need a good restorative remedial massage treatment to lengthen and relax these muscles again.
Obviously it is not always possible to find someone to care for your baby, so that you can care for yourself. You can bring your baby with you to the appointment, in a baby capsule or a pram, and I will work the massage treatment around you and the baby if needed. Hopefully we will only have to stop a few times for you to settle the baby and you can get in a reasonable amount of treatment time.
I'm a caring and understanding person, I know this may be the only way that a new Mum can receive a remedial massage treatment that she desperately needs. Just click the Book Now button at the bottom of the page to see my online Schedule and book a time that suits you. I have set timeslots, so only the available days and times will be displayed. If a day and time is not showing, it is already booked, so choose another day and time. I allocate extra time to all my appointments to allow for consultation time, changing etc.
